Statement of Faith

Seven Peaks Academy is a non-denominational Christian education ministry.

Scripture

The Bible alone in its entirety—the Old and New Testaments—is God’s inspired Word. (2 Peter 1:19-21)

God

God is the Creator of all things. He exists eternally in three persons— Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 3:16-17)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God incarnate. He is fully God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit, and fully man, having been born of the virgin Mary. He is the only begotten Son of God. (Galatians 4:4-5, Isaiah 7:14)

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is fully God. From the moment of conversion, He indwells and is at work in all who believe and are born again. He is present and active. He seals believers in Christ for eternal life. (Acts 2:38, John 14:26, Ephesians 1:13)

Baptism of
the Holy Spirit

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers to operate in a new level of power and authority. The initial physical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is “Speaking in Tongues.” (Acts 1:4-8, Acts 2:4)

Water Baptism

Baptism in full immersion of water is a public declaration of the inward transformation of the new birth for a believer. Baptism does not bring salvation, but demonstrates that we have received a new life in Christ. (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Acts 2:38)

Man

Man is born with a sinful nature, and so is separated from God, under the penalty of death, and unable to save himself. (Romans 3:23)

Design

Man and Woman are created in God’s image, by His design and therefore have inherent and immeasurable value at conception, not to be changed or altered by the hand of man. (Genesis 1:27, Jeremiah 1:5, Romans 1:22-27)

Death & Resurrection

Jesus Christ, who was without sin, voluntarily died on the cross, shedding His blood to pay the penalty for our sin. He was raised bodily from the dead on the third day, and ascended bodily to heaven. (Romans 6:23, 2 Corinthians 5:21)

Salvation

The deliverance from sin and its penalty of death—is a free gift of God’s grace, available to all but affecting only those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and receive Him as their Savior. All who are saved are spiritually reborn with a new nature and given eternal life. (John 3:16)

The Home

According to Biblical design, we believe marriage is between one man and one woman. (Matthew 19:4-6)
