The Seven Peaks Model

The uniqueness of the Seven Peaks Model is that it not only provides a hybrid option for families, bringing learning back into the hands of parents, but it also allows families to customize the program path that fits their needs best. Seven Peaks currently offers two programs: CORE+ and CHOICE. Additionally, the model operates a daily routine of both family style and differentiated learning. With family style learning students at times, regardless of grade, learn together, but complete grade level course related work. Family style learning is usually incorporated in Bible, science and history. Differentiated learning values the students assessment levels allowing them to advance and experience success according to their needs. Students will step into differentiated learning in the areas of math, language arts and writing. The model also seeks to nurture the whole student, spiritually, cognitively, emotionally, and socially. Lastly, Seven Peaks partners with the Holy Spirit and aligns all the above with a Biblical Worldview.

CORE Curriculum

There are a few main ideas you will see integrated throughout the CORE curriculum choices. Number one the hearts of our teachers is to teach Biblically based content and a Christian Worldview. Second, we chose curricula that can be easy for you to teach to your child, but also academically prepare your child for graduation and extended education (whether that be trade school or university). Next, we focused on curricula that can be taught in a family learning style and cycle. Elementary, Middle School, and High School operate on a cycle for Bible, History, and Science. For example, 1st-5th grade will have History together with the content rotating annually. Finally, Seven Peaks chose curricula that can be differentiated to students' needs for specific subjects. This allows students to learn at their level of success.

Curriculum is not included in tuition. This is for two reasons. One, because we are a hybrid model academy, and are partnering with you, the parent, in educating your child. Parents will teach the majority of their child's education in compliance with state homeschool statutes. Two, Seven Peaks believes allowing the parent to purchase curricula outside of tuition opens avenues of discounted, traded, borrowed, or used options.

The Seven Peaks Model provides teaching support of core subjects and an opportunity for your child to interact with other students. Essentially, Seven Peaks makes the core subject recommendations in order to create the necessary consistency across all families enrolled. You make the purchase and together we teach it.

CHOICE Curriculum

Students absolutely love CHOICE days! These days are hands-on, engaging, and filled with laughter and experiments. Students are excited that they get to choose four new choice elective classes each semester. Some students retake the classes they love the most. We've got quite a few favorites!

In most cases, curricula purchases are not required for CHOICE day. Students only need to bring a backpack with their pencil bag, lunch, snack and water. Students are refreshed with a break from the weekly core work as they jump deep into creativity and design.

The list below is an example of some of the electives we've offered at Seven Peaks. The official list of electives for the 2024-2025 school year will be included in the enrollment packet, and there, students will choose four classes for each semester.
